As part of the Prince Estate’s Coronavirus relief efforts and YouTube, the 1985 concert Prince and the Revolution: Live is now available to stream on the video platform for free.
The two-hour-long live concert filmed on March 30, 1985, in Syracuse, New York, to promote his Purple Rain album, including a lengthy “Purple Rain” cut, and other favorite tunes like “Little Red Corvette,” “1999” and “Delirious,” is free to watch until May 17. YouTube and the Prince Estate strongly urge viewers to make donations to the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Solitary Response Fund, and for each $1 collected, Google will match $2 until $5 million is raised, much like Post Malone’s Nirvana tribute Livestream went.
